EcoSummit and ISEM Joint Conference 2027
8th International EcoSummit and 25th Biennial Conference of the International Society for Ecological Modelling (ISEM)
10-15 October 2027 | Edinburgh, UK
Navigating the polycrisis:
Transformations to a sustainable wellbeing future
The world of 2027 is increasingly defined by interacting crises—climate, biodiversity, inequality, democratic erosion, geopolitical instability, AI, health, and economic fragility - often described as the polycrisis. At the same time, there is growing convergence around ideas such as sustainable and inclusive wellbeing, regenerative economies and agriculture, resilience, bioregionalism, and systems transformation.
To meet these complex challenges, EcoSummit and ISEM are joining forces for a unique joint conference in 2027. Bringing together their complementary expertise, perspectives and international communities, this conference will create a broad platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and action.
A high-level program will explore how systems thinking, ecological insight, and innovative approaches can provide solutions to help society navigate the polycrisis and accelerate the transition towards a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive future.
